East Peoria students signing people up for blood drive Friday
Shaun Newell Reporting
Those attending Methodist Red, White and Blue along East Peoria's riverfront have an opportunity to give the gift of life. East Peoria High School sophomore economics students have partnered with Junior Achievement and the Red Cross and will be on hand to sign up people to give blood during a blood drive to take place in August at the Peoria Civic Center.
East Peoria High School economics teacher Marty Greene says there will be a tabel set up with kids trying to get people to donate blood at a drive coming up on August 7th.
Greene says this is the second year his students have partnered with the Red Cross. Students through Junior Achievement have helped St. Jude in the past.
