Shaun Newell Reporting

Family and friends greet 33 local reserve Marines as they return home form a seven month tour in Iraq. The Marines pulled into the Marine Corps Reserve Center in Peoria about 11am Friday. The Marines spent their time at Camp Fallujah serving as combat engineers.
Corporal Daniel Klompmaker is glad to be home. He says it was a long trip with a lot of waiting and it is great to see his family again.
Corporal Meuer echoed that sediment. He says it is good to be back in a free country.
The marines were treated to a Heroes Welcome as they were escorted by the Patriot Riders. They were dismissed and then allowed to go home with their family and friends.
