Overnight house fire leads to arrest

Unattended grease on the stove is listed as the cause of a 10-thousand dollar fire overnight in Peoria. Fire fighters were called to 804 East Virginia about 1:30 this morning. Battalion Chief Mike Ogburn says the fire was contained to the kitchen. Ogburn says one occupant suffered minor injuries while jumping through a living room window to escape the blaze. Turns out police were looking for that resident because of an outstanding warrant. Police say that person was taken into custody.
