The cities of Peoria and East Peoria have once again teamed up to help present the Fourth of July Fireworks. This is the second year East Peoria has been on board with JMP Radio Group, the City of Peoria and all of the event sponsors.

Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis said while it went well in year one, he expects even better things this year. Ardis says the partnership with East Peoria continues to grow and the goal is to continue making it bigger and bigger each year.

Well over 100,000 people are expected to flood both sides of the river during the Methodist Red, White and Boom fireworks display Friday night. The show is 50-percent bigger than last year. It will last just under a half hour with $77,000 worth of fireworks being shot off during that time.
