PEORIA, Ill. — On the morning of May 24, Peoria Police were called to a home in the 500 block of W. Loucks regarding an unresponsive female who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Keishana Currie suffered blunt force head trauma and a single gun shot wound to the head. She likely died instantly.
A police investigation lead detectives to identify a suspect, 28-year-old Ditarius Jordan.
On Wednesday, June 24, Jordan was questioned by police and subsequently arrested.
“He arrested yesterday on first degree murder. Additionally, he was arrested with aggravated discharge of a firearm in an unrelated incident,” said Public Information Officer Amy Dotson.
After his arrest, Jordan was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
