UPDATE 4:20 a.m. (2/28) โ The Peoria County Coroner has identified a 15-year-old girl killed in car crash early Sunday morning as Mia Dusek of Bartonville.
Just after midnight, Sheriffโs deputies and Bartonville Police responded to the single-vehicle crash on Pfeiffer Rd, at the corner of South Airport Road.
Three other juveniles were injured in the crash.
The vehicle overturned multiple times and appeared to be going at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
The driver, a 16-year-old male, was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Aggravated Reckless Driving, Aggravated Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
Dusek was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1 a.m.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Dusek died instantly.
The accident remains under investigation by Peoria County Sheriffโs Office.

BARTONVILLE, Ill. โ A teenager is dead after the car she was in flipped in a crash early Sunday morning near Bartonville.
The Peoria County Sheriffs Department says deputies and Bartonville Police responded to the crash around 12:15 a.m. on Pfeiffer Road west of the city.
A 16-year-old driver, deputies say, was believed to be driving at a high rate of speed when the crash happened, causing the car to somehow overturn numerous times.
A 15-year-old female passenger was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, while the three other people in the car were taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and other charges.
